Miranda Kerr's Cannes Gown Was Sexy, Yet Adorable

by Stephanie Chon

From Lupita Nyong’o’s flowy, sea foam fairy-mermaid dress to Karlie Kloss’ freaking sexy one-pant jumpsuit, I seriously could not handle all the beauty at last night’s Cannes Film Festival’s opening ceremony. However, as hot as Kloss was and as adorable as Nyong'o was, both of their outfits were definitely given some good competition, thanks to Miranda Kerr’s Magnum Pink Cannes gown.

Wearing a beautiful dress by Emanuel Ungaro, Miranda Kerr strutted out to Cannes and dazzled the crowd with her beautiful smile and (let’s be honest) that plunging neckline. I felt like Kerr was able to flawlessly pull off the gown’s contrasting vibes of sultry and sweet — it was like Nyong'o's and Kloss' outfits combined to make a gorgeous pink baby. The sexiness was all in the revealing cut of the dress, and the sweet was obviously the girly pink hue. In addition to all that cleavage action, the dress had a long slit that nearly went all the way up her left leg. But the va-va-voom factor was definitely well-balanced by the dress’s sheer, layered fabrics that curled at the ends along with the youthful color that is super reminiscent of Barbie and Kelly. To really allow the dress to shine, Kerr wore a pair of strappy, nude heels, and silver accessories. Her bold red lips did a great job at complimenting her dress, too.

Kerr was at Cannes to promote Magnum ice cream’s launch of Magnum Pink & Black. After repping the pink side yesterday, she was seen this morning in strapless black piece in the perfect shade of Magnum Black. Can we all just agree that the theme of Kerr's gowns at Cannes was "jaw-dropping."
