Dingy, yellow teeth are such a bummer, but what's a girl to do? Professional whitening services cost a fortune, and require multiple appointments in order to be effective. For most women, we want something quick, easy, and affordable. Figuring out how to whiten your teeth at home would be ideal, yes. But sometimes the idea of trying a new DIY project can be daunting — especially when it involves your own body. Having pearly whites is such a confidence booster to most women, but, man, are they hard to maintain. There are loads of foods and beverages out there ready to stain your smile. So the first lazy girl step is to avoid staining your teeth with beverages such as coffee, wine, and sugary sodas. I know it sounds cliche, but drinking water really does work wonders. It's the easiest DIY you can do.
The next step is to find an at-home treatment that works for you. There are thousands of recipes across the Internet claiming to give you your best smile, but it's important to know what would actually work for you. Those with sensitive teeth should be the most wary. Too many acids or chemicals can really make your teeth hurt. Be sure to find the right balance whether it is the right ingredients or the proper timing throughout the week. Wondering what could be the best ways to whiten your teeth without all of this commitment? Here are a few tips and tricks to make sure you dazzle everyone with your smile.
1. Hydrogren Peroxide, Baking Soda, And Lemon Juice
There are loads of people on Pinterest who swear by using lemon juice to whiten your teeth. Add equal parts hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and lemon juice to your daily tooth past, and get scrubbing. Start by doing this once a week to test out your teeth sensitivity. As times goes on, build up to two or three times a week to get the ultimate smile.
2. Turmeric Powder
I knew turmeric powder did wonders for the skin, but only recently did I learn that turmeric can white your teeth as well. Turmeric powder is an spice filled with anti-oxidents and anti-bacterials that work to brighten and whiten. Dip your damp toothbrush into a small bit of the powder and brush your teeth. Instead of rinsing, let the powder sit on your teeth for five minutes. Afterwords, brush with regular toothpaste as usual. Doing this a few times a week is a perfect way to get those pearly whites.
3. Activated Charcoal
Remember in The Patriot, when Heath Ledger has black stained teeth? Well, that's what this treatment looks like. Dip a wet toothbrush into the powder and get to scrubbing. Follow up with regular toothpaste. The reason this system works is that activated charcoal is processed with oxygen and zinc which whites your teeth by removing toxins. This magic powder basically pulls the stains off of your teeth.
4. Banana Peels
Take your the peel from your morning banana, and rub it along your teeth and gums. Sounds crazy right? Turns out banana peels are filled with vitamins and minerals that help whiten teeth. Try this out to have your teeth looking b-a-n-a-n-a-s.

Yep, you have read about this on the Internet. But trust me, oil pulling really does brighten your teeth! Besides being super healthy for your body, it does wonders for your smile. Start swishing around that oil to see your brightest smile yet.
