Ciara Is Roberto Cavalli's Newest Face For Fall

by Stephanie Chon

This summer is filled with a lot of new faces for many of the big names in fashion. Chanel has Gisele Bündchen, Dior has Rihanna and now, Roberto Cavalli named Ciara the newest face for their fall campaign. Can I just start by saying, great choice Peter Dundas! For their past Spring 2015 campaign, Dundas chose Nicki Minaj because he felt like, “she embodie[d] the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman,” as he told WWD. That description totally fits latest campaign star Ciara, with the addition of adjectives like badass, strong, and fierce.

We already know Ciara has been a rising fashion It girl, but now, with album Jackie out, the R&B singer's name is making headlines in both the music and fashion game. But even with all the attention and fame, she remains humble. Just hours earlier, putting the caption of, “Aaahh!! I’m So Excited!! Love You @peter_dundas<3. @robertocavalli #CiaraForCavalli,” Ciara posted an Instagram photo of herself posing in a gorgeous white dress, hot off the Roberto Cavalli fall collection. The dress is ladened with fringes which made Ciara look like a stunning, white waterfall. On his Instagram, Cavalli said that Ciara is interpreting his collection with, "sophisticated purity and elegant spontaneity." I can’t wait to see more pictures of CiCi workin’ it in all the latest Cavalli threads, but here are just a few for now:

1. She's killin' it in that chartreuse jumper

2. "Beauty with a hint of wildness..."

3. "...a surreal kingdom where dresses come alive"

4. Everyone bow down to the Princess of R&B

5. The white waterfall of beauty
