Kris Finally Reacts To Caitlyn's 'VF' Cover

by Nicole Pomarico

After years of secrecy, Caitlyn Jenner doesn't have to hide anymore. Last month, Vanity Fair revealed its Caitlyn Jenner cover, officially bringing the woman formerly known as Bruce Jenner out from behind closed doors, and it's a beautiful thing. Not only is Caitlyn gorgeous (with some seriously amazing hair), but she's obviously thrilled to finally be able to live the life she's always wanted, out in the open. And while several members of the Kardashian Klan quickly hit Twitter and Instagram after the cover was revealed to show their support for Caitlyn, there was one post I was looking forward to the most: Kris Jenner's. And now that she, too, has finally commented, Kris' reaction to Caitlyn's transition is pretty heartwarming.

If you caught E!'s special last month, Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce, you already know that dealing with Caitlyn's transition wasn't easy for Kris. She found it pretty difficult to adjust to the fact that the person she was married to and had children with would, in a sense, no longer exist, but after a tearful, heartfelt chat between them, it was obvious — even if the news was hard to process — that Kris will always be there with love and support.

So what did she think about the Vanity Fair cover? While talking to Extra in Cannes earlier this week, Kris opened up about Caitlyn on finally living the life she was meant to live, and not only did the Kardashian matriarch call the cover "beautiful," she also spoke about what an inspiration Caitlyn is to so many people.

"I think it's amazing,” she said. “I think that someone following their dream is truly inspirational to a lot of people…. You have to do what makes you happy.”

I'm so glad that Kris isn't letting her feelings on how the transition affects her personally get in the way of being supportive of Caitlyn when she needs the people who love her most. Say what you want about Kris Jenner, but she's always there for her family — and even though they're divorced, I have a feeling that Caitlyn will always be family to her.
