Cats Recreate Photos From Kittenhood

by Beca Grimm

The circle of life, y'all! I mean, at least the circle of one singular lifetime—it's pretty incredible. This is a reason why I legit enjoy #tbt on Instagram, despite its potential to get very old. (Well, for me it doesn't. Then again I'm also the kind of person who authentically enjoys looking at wedding photo albums and hearing about your dog's latest food preferences.) Add to that whole #tbt the most adorable addition of kittens (kittens are pure joy, after all) and we're golden. So here you go: Cats recreating their kitten photos, because everything goes better with felines, #tbt included.

I always forget how tiny kittens are when they first entire the planet. When I met my cat for the first time, I held this impossibly small creature close to my chest and I couldn't fathom how light he weighed. It seemed so scary to let his excruciatingly minuscule self sprint around my home, like...How did he even exist, let alone survive? Anyway, he's grown some in the past near-year, as sadly, kittens are wont to do. Although I would definitely mention with his increase in growth, my own anxiety about his safety has shrunk. Regardless, when you have this fuzzy cuteness bounding, clearly you must document it, right? In a cool series of comparisons, here are a bunch of cats recreating their baby photos:

"Me and my bro 12 years later :')"

Normal then, normal...now? Sure.

BFFs

Started from the bottom...

Two years later, they here.

"This guy was run over as a kitten and not expected to live through the week. 2 years later and he's still going strong. Meet Pancake."

Head tilt!!!

Bowlin'

MY CAT'S NAME IS KEVIN I NEED TO PUT HIM IN A BOWL

"On the first day of 6th grade my brother got Mittens. here they are 17 years later."

I love the iconic '00s moody tween silver ring here so hard.

Officially very attracted to this human that happened.

Rubbing shoulders

I am so so so into this.

"My cat and I 17 years later."

Same.

Actually crazy

"This is me, and my 24 year old cat. Then and now (Late 1980's and Feb 4, 2010)." I suspect this cat may secretly be a wizard.

Guitar hero

SO FLUFFY.

Caped cutie

That fuzz ball tail is driving me insane in the best possible way.
