Everyone You Forgot Was In 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith'

by Mallory Carra

In my estimation, the 2005 movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith is primarily famous because it's the movie where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie fell in love as John and Jane Smith — and in real life. Ten years ago, all of the hoopla surrounding their romance may have stolen the attention away from the film itself. But there are a handful of other stars in Mr. and Mrs. Smith who you may have missed the first time seeing the film, and most of them are pretty famous today. So not only did this movie created one of the world's most famous couples, but it also spotted some future stars.

Back when the movie premiered in 2005, pretty much all the focus on was on Pitt and Jolie. Their scandalous alleged on-set romance occurred while Pitt was still married to Friends actress Jennifer Aniston. Pitt and Jolie would confirm years that they did indeed fall in love while shooting Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Pitt has said it's his favorite movie, "because he fell in love." There was also a time when the duo were considering a sequel to the movie, but it never panned out. "We did ask somebody to look into Mr. & Mrs. to see if they could crack a sequel, but there wasn’t anything original," Jolie told Vanity Fair. It was just, Well, they’re going to get married, or they’ve got kids, or they get separated. Never great."

But the original Mr. and Mrs. Smith stands well alone with Jolie, Pitt, and the rest of the cast. Here's who you may have forgotten was in the movie due to all of the attention focused on Brangelina.

1. Vince Vaughn

Back then, he was in the Frat Pack and Vaughn played John Smith's best friend and co-worker Eddie.

2. Adam Brody

Brody went from his role as Seth Cohen in the very popular Fox series The OC to playing the part of prisoner Benjamin "The Tank" Danz in the movie.

3. Kerry Washington

Olivia Pope herself handles herself well in this flick as Jasmine, Jane Smith's BFF.

4. Keith David
