Ranking All 'The Hunger Games' Trailers

I don't blame you if your brain has come to a complete and total halt ever since the trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2 was released. I literally can't even. Our favorite warrior, Katniss Everdeen, is back, and she's going to make sure that President Snow and the citizens of the Capitol pay for their crimes. The last time we saw Katniss, she was recovering from the horrors of the Quarter Quell, while battling an on-going depression that left her constantly on the very edge of her sanity. To make matters worse, President Snow was holding Peeta hostage, taunting Katniss with his tortured pleas and appearance.

From the looks of the Mockingjay, Part 2 trailer, it seems like things have slightly improved for Katniss and her crew. Finally free of the gray, muted confines of District 13, Katniss seems to have regained her footing. Peeta even looks like he's on the mend, despite his attack on Katniss at the end of the previous film. And, yet, the war is not over. The trailer boasts huge explosions, deadly traps, and cameos from our favorite Game of Thrones alums. Though the citizens of Panem are trying to heal from their past, the evil in their lives has not yet been laid rest. As Katniss earnestly expresses in the trailer, "Nothing good is safe while Snow's alive."

4th Place: Mockingjay — Part 1

The cool thing about The Hunger Games franchise is that even its "worst" trailer is still heart stopping. What puts Mockingjay — Part 1 in last place is that it's just a lot gloomier than we'd become accustomed to.

3rd Place: The Hunger Games

Who can forget the gut-wrenching moment when Katniss volunteered as tribute to take her sister's place? Even if you had read the books, you didn't know what you were getting into. This was only the beginning.

2nd Place: Mockingjay — Part 2

For better or for worse, everything is coming to an end. Katniss has picked herself up, and she is ready for war. The chills we get from this trailer are unreal, but even the newest promo for the final film is nothing compared to...

WINNER: Catching Fire

Hands down, the BEST trailer from The Hunger Games franchise. The rebellion had just begun, and the Catching Fire trailer made it clear that the previous year was just child's play. Catching Fire was a gamechanger for the series as a whole. Mockingjay — Part 2 might be where everything comes to an end, but Catching Fire was the explosive beginning.
