9 Instagram Filters Hilary Clinton Should Use

Stop the presses and put your campaign bus in park: Hilary Clinton has joined Instagram. And, while the move might seem like a "no duh" one — Clinton is preparing to hit the campaign trail, so all the exposure she can get is important — it gets even better: Based off of her first post, she's doing it with a serious sense of humor.

So, what's the first Instagram from the forever amazing politician? None other than a picture of a rack of clothing meant for her upcoming campaign appearances — clothing that is, in true American fashion, only in the colors red, white, and blue. “Hard choices,” her caption reads. If this is the Clinton that we will be seeing throughout the 2016 race, then GIMME MORE. Showing an awesome sense of humor about the race and, more specifically, about being a woman in the race, Hilary is using social media to showcase her personality — not to just send out robotic messages about her platform. Well played!

But the lone picture has me wondering: "What else is she going to Instagram?" And, of course, "Can we expect Hilary to use the photo platform for fun as well as politics?" I’m hoping yes to the last question — but, either way, I'm sure whatever she posts will definitely win over the American public in some way.

With that in mind, it's worth wondering: What effects will she use on Instagram? Will she use different filters to capture the mood of her campaign? Or, will she use them to show allegiance to her voters? It's the race for the hardest job in the world, after all — EVERY INSTA MATTERS. So, here is a list of filters she should use, because a girl’s gotta be strategic.

1. Slumber

For pictures taken after those brutal 4 AM wake-up calls she has to endure.

2. Rise

Because she's rising to queen in charge, of course!

3. Hudson

Because New York is her home, we should probably expect this filter on the regular.

4. Valencia

For pictures of her visit to California. (Hopefully, of her picking fruit in an orange grove.)

5. Inkwell

She could totally include some artsy black and white photos to appeal to her her hipster fanbase.

6. Earlybird

Considering she's going to be hitting the campaign trail very, very soon, Clinton is going to be the epitome of the term "earlybird." What better way to convey that than through Insta filters?

7. Hefe

For when she’s feeling like a boss. (In other words, 100% of the time.)

8. Sierra

For all of those road pictures where the landscape goes on foreverrrr.

9. Nashville

To pay homage to/win over all those red states!
