What Does The Cumberbaby Look Like?

by Jaclyn Anglis

Where is the Cumberbaby? The first child for one of the most glamorous couples in Hollywood was born on Saturday, June 13, so naturally, everyone wants to know all the details as soon as possible. Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter welcomed a baby boy, the actors rep confirmed to People. So now that we know the baby's gender, the next step, of course, is finding out just what this little bundle of joy looks like.

We probably should not hold our breath for a baby picture to make its rounds on the Internet — and the evidence comes straight from the Imitation Game star and his wife. After announcing that a "beautiful son" had been born, the actor's rep said, “We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during these next few precious weeks.” And that is perfectly understandable. After all, the first couple of weeks are exciting, but also challenging ones for new parents, no matter what their social status is. It makes complete sense that they want to be alone with their little muffin as they embark on this new journey with him.

But inquiring minds really want to know what this baby looks like. And by inquiring minds, I mean all of his fans. So, if you can't satisfy your curiosity with a real picture of the kid, you can instead distract yourself with hilarious face-morphing websites and catch a super speculative glimpse of what the baby could look like. And you know he will be the suavest baby ever. Maybe a little too suave, in fact.

Baby #1

Once you get past the hilariously cheesy border (nice teddy bear and silver garland!), you can really appreciate the smooth, sly grin of this hypothetical baby. Those squinted eyes and smirk just know that a special new toy or sweet is on the way. It is also worth noting that even though Cumberbatch and Hunter have not released their baby's name yet, this face morph site decided to generate "Shawn" as the baby name. So there's that.

Baby #2

Of course, this experiment would not be complete without trying different photos at least once. After all, Cumberbatch and Turner don't look exactly the same in every picture they take. But this one, christened "Mason" by the generator, is slightly worrying. Though the baby's expression is adorable, the poor thing seems like he has not grown into his own cheekbones and jawline yet! One thing's for sure, that sly old grin still remains.

Here's a couple more, for good measure:

Baby #3

"Liam." I'm not sure I want to know what happened with the eyebrows. But whatever it was, it was not good.

Baby #4

"Aiden" here is barely out of the hospital and already has a tie on. OK, I'm done.

Of course, we can speculate for days on end about what the baby might look like. But I have a hunch, especially after this experiment, that it will be best to wait it out to see photos of the real baby when Cumberbatch and Hunter decide they are ready to share. In the meantime, congratulations to the happy couple! Photos of the real bundle of joy will undoubtedly be worth the wait.
