424 Fifth's Fall Collection Is Marant On A Budget

by Jodie Layne

If you're not already shopping Lord and Taylor's 424 Fifth line, you should definitely start now — especially with a fall line that delivers couture fashion's biggest fall 2015 trends on a budget. I know, I know: It's not even officially summer yet and I'm not ready to talk about fall, either. But the retailer unrolled its contemporary line's lookbook via Instagram on Tuesday, and I'm already drooling over its refined, wearable interpretations of the '70s trend we saw all over the Fashion Week runways.

Featuring faux suede dresses and coats, dark floral dresses in feminine silhouettes, billowy blouses, cropped trousers, and structured fringe jackets, it's a cool girl's veritable dream fall wardrobe. The pieces all work together beautifully as a coherent collection, but would also fare perfectly as standalone items incorporated into a wardrobe.

Even better? You're getting the luxury look and feel for a price that's far less than designer. While the prices aren't exactly at a fast fashion level, the clothes' quality reflects as much. And the collection still makes those trends that much more accessible to the average fashion-obsessed customer. The other best part is for my fellow Canucks — thanks to Lord and Taylor's ownership of Hudson's Bay, the styles will be an option for Canadian customers as well. The line will be available for purchase in August.
