Mama Cat Adopts Baby Ducklings

I don't want to take any attention from Father's Day, guys. To the dads who rocked our socks off, we are eternally grateful. But right now we're talking about moms. More specifically, cat moms. Or rather, a cat who adopted baby ducks, and has now become the world's greatest cat mama. While I look at these images, a little voice in the back of my head, that is definitely based off Alec Baldwin's 30 Rock Christmas performance, is singing: "What the world needs now, is love, sweet love. That's the only thing that there's just too little of."

(That's normal, right? Right.)

Anyway, the cat mama, Della, has adorable little kitten babies. But she's taken it even further: She adopted baby ducklings. She came across the baby ducklings a few hours after giving birth to her kittens, and treated the ducks as her own babes. (And I really mean that, because she lets them draw milk from her. And yes, the pictures will melt your heart.)

Because she found the ducks not long after she'd given birth, her hormone levels were in a unique place, prompting her nurturing instinct, and quelling her instinct to eat them (apparently, that's a thing that happens and I don't even want to think about it).

The pictures you're about to scroll through are INDESCRIBABLY CUTE. Godspeed:

Do you hear that? That's Alec Baldwin serenading you in your head as you click through these photos. You're welcome.
