Get Well Soon, Jessie J!

Jessie J continues to be candid — yet cryptic — about her recovery from a medical procedure she underwent recently, thanking fans immensely for their support but revealing that she is not doing so well. Careful not to reveal the type of procedure she had done, Jessie J opened up about the mysterious surgery and was honest with fans about the state of her health, sharing an Instagram photo of her arm stuck with multiple needles.

"I have seen a lot of 'How are you today' comments... How am I.... *Looks up sighs and has to be honest* I am not ok... I am in a lot of pain," the "Flashlight" singer captioned the picture. "But I'm working on it with the doctors. We all have our moments and one of mine is now. Being human sucks when you are non stop and your body says NOPE not right now. Unexpected but I'm here trying my best to not let it win," she continued. "Sometimes admitting how you really feel can be the quickest road to recovery. And PLEASE know all of your understanding, love and support helps me so much. (And the morphine) (And my Mums hugs)," she added. "How are you today?"

Though Jessie J suffers from a heart condition, she has made it clear that the surgery did not have anything to do with her heart (or her voice), first announcing that she was undergoing the procedure in a lengthy Instagram post set to the tune of R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts."

"I had an operation yesterday so need to rest. I won't be saying what for so PLEASE don't keep asking me or harassing my close ones on here or anywhere for information," she captioned the photo, which is divided into before-and-after surgery pics. "It's personal and I know you can respect that. I just wanted to explain to my fans why I may go AWOL for a minute."

"And for the record it's not my heart or my voice," she wrote at the time. "My heart and voice are FINE."

She later informed fans that she was suffering from problems after the surgery and would have to cancel shows:

Still, despite her less-than-desirable situation and the pain that she is in, the British singer is nothing but optimistic — if not honest — sharing the inspirational quote, "It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light."

Of course, I sincerely hope that Jessie J heals well from whatever surgery it was that she had. It is her prerogative to keep the details as under wraps — or as out in the open — as she wishes, considering one's health is probably one of the most personal and private matters that we have to deal with in our lives. Still, knowing her previous battles with her health in the past — she revealed in an article she wrote for the Daily Mail in 2012 that she "was a sickly, skinny girl who had a slight green tinge to her skin because of the drugs and who was always in and out of hospital" as a child — this surgery and her recovery is all the more nerve-wracking. Get well soon, Jessie J!
