3 Celebrity-Inspired Holiday Party Beauty Looks

by Candace Bryan

It's not too shocking that the best celebrity beauty looks of the week have all been at various Hunger Games: Catching Fire premieres. Is anything else even going on in the world? Does anyone besides Jennifer Lawrence exist this week? The only other notable beauty news was that Miley Cyrus decided to bleach her previously perfect brows. But I'm certainly not going to recommend you show up to your holiday parties like that.

There are, however, some looks I do recommend. These three looks from Jennifer Lawrence (duh), her Hunger Games co-star Meta Golding, and (wildcard) Sarah Hyland went out with some great night looks that are just the right amount of bold for a party. Because even though no one's told Miley, you can turn heads without resorting to bleach.

1. Sarah Hyland at the Hunger Games: Catching Fire L.A. premiere: I was really not a fan of the bronze Sass & Bide dress Hyland wore at this event, but her bronze makeup was really cool. The coppery eyeshadow, bronze blush, and bronze-pink lips perfectly complemented her darker skin, but the metallic can also work with other skin tones, as long as you don't go overboard.

2. Meta Golding at the Hunger Games: Catching Fire L.A. premiere: What do I love more: her perfect red lipstick or the abundance of eyeshadow on her lower lids? I can't decide, but together they make some serious holiday makeup magic.

3. Jennifer Lawrence at the Hunger Games: Catching Fire Paris premiere: Unless we count chopping off all her hair, this is the most dramatic thing J.Law has ever done. With her hair smoothed down, her eyes smokey, and her lips an extremely dark red, she looked pretty goth and pretty awesome; she proved everyone should try this at least once. If you're afraid of looking too intense, though, forgo the black dress and wear some colors to balance it out.

So now I've given you the beauty looks you need for all your upcoming parties. But it's your job not to drink so much mulled wine and spiked cider that you start to look sloppy. There's only so much makeup can do.
