Wear A Cropped Leather Jacket All Year Round

Leather jackets will always be the symbol of a cool girl in my book, but nowadays if its cropped, it’s even cooler. Downton Abbey’s Michelle Dockery wore a cropped leather jacket to her first Emmy’’s party way back when, and while the photo documentation posted to Instagram on Tuesday served as an early throw back for the week, I am thinking this style is still pretty relevant.

The Emmy and Golden Globe nominee is quite the fashionista on and off set. Once in awhile the English actress deviates from her classic style and adds a little edge to her outfit, and I am a fan. The crop-cut Armani leather jacket detailed with quilted-esque textured sleeves makes for a perfect accessory thrown over a Victoria Beckham dress, serving as a tasteful contrast.

Basically, Dockery introduced elegance to edgy and they were instant BFFs. Note the specification #selfstyling. No worries, Dockery. Credit is given where credit is due. The combo is one to rarely make an appearance on the red carpet, but clearly should come around more often, don’t you think?
