She's probably one of your favorite '90s-influenced artists, and she's known for making daring, or just plain interesting, fashion choices. Charli XCX attended the Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb party sporting a daring, high-volume dress that was anything but boring.

The brand hosted a special event at Paris Couture week celebrating the 10th anniversary of their famous fragrance, Flowerbomb, and the young starlet was in attendance as a guest and performer, sporting the designers' own couture looks. Sporting a wavy lob and red lips, Charli XCX made an attempt at major volume with this asymmetrical dress, that at first glance looks like two different pieces altogether — I totally thought the side floral panel was an oversized bag. All the fabrics on the garment were large floral prints, a definite ode to the brand's perfume, but with the paring of platform flip flops, some may think the look was a little too much of a...well, flowerbomb. But hey, it's Couture Week, you have to expect some interesting looks, right?

Whether you dig her candy pop music, support her feminist views, or are obsessed with all of her '90s fashion references (I don't think I've ever seen anyone else where as many lip-printed dresses), you have to admit that Charli XCX definitely takes some risks. Though aesthetically this one may be a little much, it definitely goes to show that high-volume pieces aren't something you should shy away from.

And here's another snap of the outfit.

Though you probably won't be Googling for a cheaper version of this Viktor and Rolf creation, adding some volume to your summer wardrobe is definitely not a bad idea. I mean let's face it — not all clothing items need to be close-fitting, and you can still look great while adding more drama to your closet.

Peplum Tops

River Island Grey Jersey Short Cami Top, $16

Sleeveless Peplum Top, $14.90

These tops are perfect for any body type, since they can accentuate the awesome cuves you already have and enhance the appearance of an hourglass figure.

Flowy Skirts

Premium Bonded Prom Skirt, $136

Pleated Midi Skirt, $54

One of my personal favorite summer go-to is a mid-length, flowy skirt, that adds a little more volume to any outfit. Pair it with a simple camisole or a crop top, and you'll definitely have a breezy hot-weather look.

Shorts (With a Little Something Extra)

Lace-trimmed shorts, $49.99

City Shorts, $34.95

Though you may love your denim cut-offs or fitted short-shorts, adding some bottoms with different fabrics and silhouettes can make your outfit a little more interesting. Try a pair of loose shorts with lace paneling or a soft, high-waisted tie shorts that give your waist and legs a boost.
