John Stamos Enters Rehab Following DUI Arrest & It's A Commendable Move
This is a commendable move. Nearly a month after being arrested for a DUI in Los Angeles, People reports that former Full House star John Stamos has entered rehab. While the details are scarce at this time, the website states that Stamos checked himself into a "residential program for the treatment of substance abuse." Stamos was placed under arrest in June after Beverly Hills police pulled him over following reports of a reckless driver — but he was taken to the hospital at the time for evaluation before he was issued a citation.
Though Stamos didn't comment on the charges at the time, he did release a statement through his Twitter following the arrest. "Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I'm home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care."
The subject of these reports are, of course, a personal matter for Stamos and his privacy should be respected at this time — but, that said, it's both admirable and commendable of Stamos to take his health into his own hands and seek treatment for whatever issues he may be struggling with.
Bustle reached out to Stamos' representative, who declined to comment.
