If there's one question I've always been desperate to find out the answer to, it's this: Are Adam Levine and Blake Shelton friends? Sometimes when I'm in the shower, or grocery shopping, or going for a run, the mystery pops into my head without warning, throwing my life off-course. The fact that I don't know the answer makes me feel incomplete and inadequate in every way. So, will someone please tell me, are Adam Levine and Blake Shelton friends, or are they just playin'? Is their bromance on The Voice for real, or are they simply paid to put on a show?

The Voice co-hosts have long had a love-hate relationship, according to the internet. For instance, in March 2017, Shelton said Levine's frosted tips made him look like Guy Fieri. However, small jibes over each other's appearances pale in comparison to the deep, deep bond the two musicians seem to share.

In February 2017, Levine told People, “I was instantly very taken by him ’cause he was definitely not your typical country artist... and the second we met, we were friends." So, according to Levine, his friendship with Shelton was love at first sight. Explaining the reason they fight onscreen so much, Levine also said, "All of the bullsh*t that we do comes from a place of love,” which is precious, right?

The bromance between Shelton and Levine has been going on for quite some time actually. Way back in 2012, Shelton told MTV, "I have a man crush on Adam," and a person can't be much clearer than that — can they? In true Shelton fashion, the country singer took it a step too far and added, "I want to kiss him. I want to kiss him so bad. I don't care if it's mutual or not." (Obviously, if it's not mutual, Shelton should definitely not kiss Levine.)

Meanwhile, back in February of this year, Shelton and his girlfriend Gwen Stefani attended Levine's Walk of Fame Ceremony, and it only cemented the love they feel for one another. Shelton even cracked the ultimate bromance gag, when he said, "Imagine my disappointment when I found out this wasn't a roast." One day, I hope to find a bond like Shelton and Levine have. And if a Levine roast happens, you can bet Shelton will be the first to sign up.

So, there you have it: Levine and Shelton are friends IRL. Mystery solved.
