Fans of Frank Ocean received quite the surprise during his set at FYF Festival on Saturday night. While the singer was on stage performing "Close to You" and a cover of The Jackson 5's "Never Can Say Goodbye," Brad Pitt participated in a performance art piece, portraying a touching phone call between the two. So are Frank Ocean and Brad Pitt friends? Recent events should lead you to believe that the two artists might actually have a budding close friendship in the works.

During Ocean's set at the music festival, Pitt sat near the side of the stage inaudibly speaking into a cell phone while the 29-year-old singer sang to him. Ocean and Pitt were both projected onto the FYF screens for all of the crowd to see. Pitt has been laying low since his divorce from Angelina Jolie, and he recently admitted in a personal cover story for GQ that Ocean's latest album, Blonde, helped him get through that emotional time. "I've been listening to a lot of Frank Ocean," he told the magazine. "I find this young man so special. Talk about getting to the raw truth. He's painfully honest. He's very, very special. I can't find a bad one."

Pitt's in-depth interview with GQ took place in May and, shortly after, Ocean was spotted at Manchester's Parklife Festival performing in a t-shirt with the superstar actor's face on it.

It would be pretty awesome if these two formed a close friendship through their appreciation quality songs and being super talented performers in their respective industries. It's definitely a reminder of how powerful amazing music can really be.
