I am usually super pumped when it's time for a brand new season of The Bachelor, but this time, I'm extra excited that said Bachelor is Nick Viall. Some fans may have only recently come around to liking him, but I've been a fan since he was wooing Andi Dorfman, and I'm really excited he's finally getting another shot at love (or so I hope). And, back when we first met Nick on Andi's season, he was a software salesman, so is that still what he's doing these days? On Monday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Nick Viall explained his current job situation, and it seems like plenty has changed for him since those early Bachelorette days.

According to our new Bachelor himself, Nick has left his job in the software industry, and instead he gave a vague answer about how he's busy taking different opportunities that being on the show has provided him over the past few years. "I've been able to do some other stuff as a result of being on so many times," were Nick's exact words to Kimmel. "I don't do the software thing anymore." It's an honest answer — and a pretty common one, when it comes to many of the franchise's stars. I mean, Nick may not be selling protein shakes on Instagram (yet), he has been seen promoting a Dyson product here and there or promoting clothing lines. Being a super notorious contestant definitely comes with its perks.

Most of his sponsored posts came pre-Paradise, though, so it will be interesting to see if and what he promotes post-Bachelor. Maybe he'll even write a book as some other stars have.

I have a feeling these opportunities are only going to get better for him now that he's The Bachelor. It'll be interesting to see where the future takes him — and whether or not he ever ends up in the software industry again when the fame dies down, if it dies down. If this whole TV personality thing doesn't work out for him, he could always be a breakup coach.
