Busy Philipps Has A Book In The Works, And It Sounds Laugh-Out-Loud Worthy

Particularly perceptive fans might have noticed that Busy Philipps has been working on something exciting recently: she's been mentioning in her Instagram stories that she's been procrastinating from work, which doesn't really align with her most famous job as an actress. But at last, the truth has been revealed: Busy Philipps is writing a book. Her collection of autobiographical essays will come out in fall 2018 from Touchstone, and from the looks of her latest Instagram update, it seems that Busy is just as excited about this project as the rest of us.

In a video that Philipps shared on Instagram, she revealed her big news, telling her viewers, "I'm writing a book — for real!" She also teased us that, even though she's not allowed to reveal the book's title just yet, "it's a good title." Busy Philipps has made me laugh in everything she's starred in from Freaks and Geeks to Cougar Town to her own Instagram stories — so I can't wait to see what quirky or hilarious title she's chosen for her essay collection.

Philipps also used the social media platform to thank her followers, and to reveal that writing this book has been a life-long dream of hers. "It wouldn't have been possible without you," she said in the video. "I've been waiting my whole life to write this book, guys, I'm just so grateful someone finally asked."

A press release sent out about Philipp's book promises "the same unfiltered and candid storytelling that her Instagram followers have come to know and love," and hints at some of the book's topics: her childhood, her hilarious teenage years, and her famous BFF Michelle Williams. In other words, it's everything we've been dying to hear about.
