WARNING: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI SPOILERS AHEAD With the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, fans might be wondering about Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver's friendship. Seeing as they play two of the most important characters, Rey and Kylo Ren, respectively, it's only appropriate to get to know them even better than most fans probably already do. For anyone who is shipping the characters (yes, many want Reylo to happen even though we don't know everything about their connection yet), you should be happy to know that they appear to have a close friendship in real life — and not only when they're working together.
Their friendship became quite clear in an October interview with V Magazine, in which Ridley and Driver interviewed one another and they discussed the Star Wars franchise. The way their conversation unfolded speaks volumes about the kind of relationship they have. For example, their interview started off with pleasantries and then after Driver asked Ridley, "When is the last time that I saw you?" she joked, "Well, I don’t know because you don’t come to all the fun things that I go to. Last July? It’s been like a year!" Driver then replied, "Oh, yeah, I guess. I’m much taller now."
That just goes to show you they're carefree with each other, are able to joke around, and, of course, enjoy laughing together. During their chat, Ridley even said to her co-star, "I mean, as we discovered, Adam, we became besties last year, but we had met some years before." Actually, she referred to Driver as her "bestie" again in the same interview.
After Driver hilariously asked, "Is there an aspect of working on Star Wars — it could be anything from the light saber battles, the travel, the catering, to getting to see me every day and do my hair — that was your favorite part?" Ridley gave a lengthy response before adding, "Becoming besties with you was the best thing." To make you love them even more, Driver ended their interview with the following: "Alright, well, thanks, Daisy. I think you’re brilliant."
Are you swooning over their friendship, yet? If not, then their seemingly tight-knit working relationship should have an affect on you. When it comes to filming scenes as Rey and Kylo, they both clearly have the time of their lives. While chatting with Oh My Disney (video above) in December, Ridley and Driver talked about working together. Basically, they couldn't stop praising each another.
Ridley said (around the 1:15 mark), "Adam is an incredible actor. He is so amazing in this film. Seriously, I can't speak highly enough about him. So in the very basic sense of it all, he is the most amazing scene partner." As for Driver, he gushed, "Working with Daisy, it's great. She is such an emotionally available person. It's easy to be in scenes with her, because I could listen to her, you know, all day. She has just great instincts."
Does it get any better than that? Their support, respect, and compliments for each other as actors is beautiful. Now that The Last Jedi is out, many are raving about them both as individuals and as Rey and Kylo. Check it out.

*fingers crossed* (Well, for some fans.)
Even if Reylo doesn't happens, at least those Star Wars fans who 'ship their characters can rest easy in knowing that Ridley and Driver have an amazing friendship.
