Demeter's Kitten Fur Perfume Is A Must-Have For Cat Lovers

Cat lovers, prepare to hold the phone. Demeter has created kitten fur-scented perfume. And honestly, isn't that all you've ever dreamed of?  In the brand's own words, the new scent perfectly captures the "olfactory essence of the warmth and comfort of that purrfect spot, just behind a kitten's neck." Intriguing.

This isn't Demeter Fragrance Library's first foray into off-the-wall scents. Their quirky perfume veterans. In fact, their very first three fragrances were Dirt, Grass, and Tomato, and outlandish scents like Laundromat, Gin & Tonic, and Paperback continue to be among the most popular from the brand. And, if you happen to be a fan of Doctor Who, you'll be delighted to know that they actually released a Petrichor cologne earlier this year.

At any rate, there's a lot to celebrate with their new Kitten Fur scent. For starters, it's available now, and it's actually pretty affordable as far as fragrances go. A one ounce bottle will set you back $18.90. Plus, in addition to your standard cologne, it also comes in many other forms, including shower gel, body lotion, and roll-on perfume oil.

It's like your cuddling with a kitten all. day. long.

The scent's creation was actually something Demeter CEO Mark Crames stumbled upon by chance after 15 years of trying to create something kitten-ish.

"It was a happy laboratory accident that gave us this fragrance." he explained to POPSUGAR. "I was targeting something else, but what I got was very close to Kitten Fur. I made a few modifications, and voila!"

Crames also noted via Instagram that it was his own cat, Dreads, who helped to inspire the fragrance. His target scent "was a warm, slightly sweet, almost creamy olfactory experience," just like his furry friend.

Kitten Fur may just help you fulfill your lifelong dreams of becoming the ultimate cat lady.
