Eva Mendes Subtly Comments On Gosling's Globes Win

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are one of Hollywood's most famous, but definitely, most private couples. From time to time, we might get some morsels into their relationship, but they try to keep all of that separate from their public lives, and it's very refreshing. But, since I am nosey, I love when we get anything from them, and Gosling delivered when he acknowledged Mendes in his acceptance speech for his Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical Golden Globe on Sunday — albeit not by name. Mendes has since responded to Gosling's speech and it was in a way that was perfect way for them.

To refresh and moisten up those tear ducts a little bit, Gosling took the stage to accept his Best Actor Globe and gave Mendes a very slight nod, that packed a very emotional punch. Gosling said,

“While I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second, and trying to help her brother fight this battle with cancer. If she hadn’t taken all that on so that I could have this experience, there would surely be someone else up here other than me today. Sweetheart, thank you."

Gosling stayed true to himself and didn't even mention Mendes by name, only solely by saying "my lady" and "sweetheart," but we all know who he was talking about. He then went on to dedicate his win to Mendes' late brother who passed away from cancer, further proving that Gosling is, in fact, the perfect man.

While I personally didn't expect Mendes to respond in any way, she posted an Instagram photo that said all that she needed to say about Gosling, in a very sweet way. Under a red carpet photo of the beautiful Janelle Monáe, Mendes wrote,

Obviously this wasn't my favorite moment of the night…But it was definitely my favorite style moment of the night. The stunning and talented @JanelleMonae is killing me with this look. So so so beautiful.

Cute, cute, cute! Like Gosling, Mendes didn't even bother mentioning "her man's" name, but we know what her favorite moment was. I give them so many props for staying real to their relationship and only giving us as much as they're comfortable with. And for what they do give us, I am thankful.
