Here's Why Tyga & Kylie Jenner Won't Be Getting Back Together
Talk about straight from the source. Tyga stopped by The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday, July 20, and he totally spilled the tea on his former relationship with a certain Keeping Up With the Kardashians star. Among other things, Tyga confirmed that he and Kylie Jenner didn't have a bad breakup, but that they simply went their separate ways. He also explained that he and Jenner were done for good and won't likely be getting back together.
Tyga told hosts DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God that he and Jenner "started off as friends" before becoming romantic. "It ain't a losing thing," he said of the breakup, "when you make a decision to not be in a relationship with somebody, you make that decision, you split ways." So it definitely seems like there's no bad blood between Tyga and Jenner, but is there a possibility that they might be getting back together? According to Tyga, no.
"It's not for me, bro," Tyga said when asked about potentially rekindling his relationship with Jenner. "I mean, when it was good, it was good. When it was bad, it was really bad. I have love for her, but I'm not in love no more." So there you have it — Tyga is no longer in love with the makeup mogul.
Tyga went on to offer insight into why he and Jenner broke up. "I think the main thing," he explained, "was a lot of people — a lot of outside influences — and she's younger than me and she's dealing with perception. I'm older so I can deal with perception. But for her, growing up how she grew up, image and perception was everything."
Apparently Jenner's social media presence was also problematic for Tyga. "I like to keep mystique," he said, "but I knew that's how she made her money."
Oh, and the hosts even asked Tyga for his thoughts on Jenner's new rumored boyfriend, Travis Scott. "I don't feel no type of way," he replied. "Me and her had been broken up for like seven months. He's not in the wrong. I don't have no hard feelings."
It's definitely good to hear there are no hard feelings between Tyga and Jenner. Public breakups can cause people to do some pretty crazy things, so kudos to Tyga and Jenner for treating each other with respect post-split.
