How Much The New Starbucks Macchiatos Cost

by Kaitlyn Wylde

Lately, there are a lot of important questions that you've probably been asking yourself on a regular basis, like, what's going on with the world, and is this real life? But I'd like to take the opportunity to concern you with something much lighter to ponder: how much do the new Starbucks Macchiatos cost? Yes, there are less stressful things to wonder about, and yes, new drinks!

For the sake of the spring, Starbucks is releasing two new macchiato drinks and they're quite the steal, considering how decadent and fancy they are. Yup, you're about to become a really chic spring coffee drinker. First in the new line up is the Starbucks Iced Cinnamon Almond Milk Macchatio, a slightly sweet and creamy-tasting milk-free drink that's inspired by horchata — a Latin American drink that's made from rice and almond milks, mixed with sugar and cinnamon and served on ice as a treat. In the Starbucks rendition, this drink is mixed with their signature roast espresso, creamy almond milk, and a sweet cinnamon dolce syrup. It's poured over ice and will be available all Spring long, starting on Feb. 28, for only $4.25 to $4.75 for a tall drink, depending on the store location.

Joining the macchiato line up is the Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato. You might remember the name because last summer it was on the menu as an iced drink. But this spring, it's on the menu as a hot drink — the perfect hint of the tropics for those in-between days where it feels like spring, when the sun is out but winter when it's behind a cloud. This cozy drink gives you all the coconut you need to look forward to warm weather, but keeps you warm so you don't get ahead of yourself. Much like when you were in school and the weather would hit 60 degrees and you'd immediately take out your Daisy Dukes and open-toed shoes and wind up freezing — this drink will help keep your temperature expectations in-line with the reality that it's not quite spring yet. Made with espresso shots that are over coconut milk and combined with a taste of white chocolate mocha sauce, and finished off with caramel and mocha sauce, this crazy fancy drink is available Feb. 28, too and only $4.25 to $4.75 for a tall drink, depending on where your Starbucks is located.

If you consider all of the things that you blindly spend four dollars and change on, you'll be humbled by this price. Especially considering the fact that while these are great morning drinks, they're also great evening drinks, as you can have them dressed up to resemble a dessert or dressed down (hold the whip and the sauce) to make them more like a regular coffee. But let's be real, these drinks will never be like regular coffee. Even without whipped cream, or a crosshatch of tasty sauces, they're still gourmet AF.
