While the official Pride Day is on June 25, the month of June is really an on-going celebration of support and awareness for the LGBTQ+ community. So it's no surprise that Instagram Stories is introducing Pride features, to get in on the spirit for the whole month, too. If you think about it, Instagram is a microcosm of our lives, and so it makes perfect sense to put a lot of effort in showing support for the LGBTQ+ community with your account.

Participating in a Pride march is an impactful way to show your support, but letting your community know all month long that you're a supporter encourages others to do the same. So, basically, you can have your own month-long Pride parade on your Instagram if you take advantage of the Pride-themed tools that are now available. Which you should, because you never know how you'll inspire others to show and spread love, so you should always try to be the best example you can be. Oh and fun fact, all the Pride tools that are being debuted on Instagram May 31 were created by members of the Instagram LGBTQ+ community — pretty cool right?

Check out what they've come up with:

Pride Stickers

Your sticker collection has just got a lot more colorful. On May 31, you should notice the addition of a few rainbow-filled stickers that you can use to decorate any story. Go nuts, there are no limits to how much you can decorate your posts or how many colors you can use.

Giant Rainbow

While you've always had the power to increase the size of your rainbow stickers on Instagram Stories, you might be more inclined to throw a giant rainbow in your pictures this month, because why not? Also, you'll notice your paintbrush has a rainbow paint setting so feel free to paint a rainbow on anything you please!

Pride Official Hashtag

Instagram

The official hashtag of Pride 2017 is, quite appropriately #Pride2017. So make sure you use that when sharing your stories so that you can be a part of the greater collective in sharing your kind and supportive messages.

Speaking of being kind, there's also a hashtag that you can use to spread sweet messages to people by using #KindComments. Simple leave someone some nice words and make their day. Kindness spreads faster than hate.
