Katy Perry has never been shy when it comes to taking risks with her hair. This was never evidenced so greatly as it was on Wednesday night when Katy Perry's blonde faux hawk made an appearance the 2017 Brit Awards red carpet, causing the internet to lose it.

Perry has been switching up her hair color and style ever since she became famous back in 2008 following the debut of "I Kissed A Girl." I'm not sure about you, but I tend to think of Perry with black hair, but her natural color is actually blonde, and she has changed it regularly, hitting almost every color of the rainbow over the years.

One of my personal favorite hairstyles of Perry's (and coincidentally one of her's too) was when she had green hair in 2014, but I also really liked her blue hair and I loved her rose gold hair. I wonder if Perry and Kylie Jenner have a secret rivalry about who can make the most hair changes in their career?

Anyway, people could not get over Katy Perry's blonde faux hawk at the 2017 Brit awards. It was basically a new take on space buns or the half buns at Anna Sui's Fall 2017 show, and they looked pretty dope.

They also paired well with her pink and silver blazer/dress combo and edged up her look a little bit.

Naturally, Twitter fans were excited to see an fun new hairstyle for Perry.

Some poked a little fun at it, but the love was still there.

And some asked important questions.

I like that it's not your standard awards show hairdo.

And finally, the truest tweet of them all...

Because you know this look is not comfortable.
