Kim K's Hack For Getting Foundation Out Of Clothes Is Easy & Brilliant

by Amy Sciarretto

We've all been there and dealt with this scenario, including Kim Kardashian West. You are getting ready for work or a night out and — BAM! — you notice foundation on your outfit. It's a legit makeup emergency requiring a fast solution. Thankfully, Kim K's hack for getting foundation out of clothes may just save your wardrobe.

Since the reality star and KKW Beauty guru is a glam queen who provides inspo for millions of women and their makeup routines, of course she has developed an effective hack. On a post on her personal site, Kardashian lamented, "There's nothing worse than being fully ready and realizing you have foundation on your clothes."

She's not kidding. A splotch of foundation on a little black dress pretty much breaks your outfit and means that you have to change. Trying to rub it out, after all, only makes it worse or further embeds it.

Kardashian's fix to prevent foundation from ruining your clothes involves a cheap product you already have in your bathroom.

"To get rid of makeup stains, shaving cream often does the trick," KKW posted.

She continued, "Just apply to the stain and then lightly wet or wash. If the stain still won't come out, you can also use a drop of rubbing alcohol mixed with the shaving cream. The stain should lift out easily."

The superstar also pointed to nylon stockings, a dryer sheet, and a beautyblender as hacks for removing deodorant stains from clothes.

Well, I also have a preventative hack for protecting clothing from those annoying foundation or cream product stains.

I take a shower before getting ready and then I put my sleep clothes back on while doing my hair and makeup. After my makeup is perfected, I slip into the day's ensemble. That way, I avoid any product fallout or spills ruining my look.

It also takes what feels like nine hours to blow dry my hair and if I sweat, I do so before I change into fresh clothes. I am also extra careful about pulling clothes over my head, so any applied makeup doesn't transfer.
