Mon-El's Got Some Visitors On 'Supergirl'

Cate Cameron/The CW

Romantic bliss never lasts long with Kara Danvers. Her new beau's secret is about to be revealed in a dramatic way. Mon-El's parents arrived on Supergirl and the promo for the next episode on March 20 confirm that he is in fact the prince of Daxam. Surprise!

At least, that's the assumption that I'm making, as they referred to him as a prince and were themselves called highnesses. A family reunion is in store, as well as a TV reunion. Not only that, but the Daxam royals are played by Kevin Sorbo from The O.C. and none other than Terri Hatcher — who has already delved into the DC Comics universe as one half of the title duo in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman opposite Dean Cain, who plays Kara's adopted father Jeremiah Danvers on Supergirl. Don't think about it too hard, or it gets awkward. They look amazing, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

The awkward doesn't end there, considering that it was announced that Hatcher would be joining the show as a villain. What could Mon-El's parents want with him? What do they want with Earth? I always assumed that Mon-El hid his identity because he was running from something that he did or someone that he was, or just looking to slum it as a pauper — not that he himself might be in danger. This changes things a bit! Kara may be upset that Mon-El didn't tell her the whole story, but the stakes may be too high to fully unpack that.
