These Memes About The ‘Ocean’s 8’ Trailer Will Get You Even More Stoked

by Stephanie Downs

In case you missed it, the trailer for Ocean's 8 recently dropped. The film stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, and a slew of other actors in a feat of amazing casting. As soon as the trailer was released, people couldn't help but highlight this dynamic, women-fronted cast on Twitter. Users were here for this heist movie being far away from an all too typical male-dominated cast — and that resulted in some truly hilarious social media reactions.

The Ocean's 8 trailer gave fans a look into the scenario viewers will get to experience next year. Bullock's Debbie Ocean forms her elite team in order to infiltrate fashion's biggest event: the Met Ball. The team is tasked with robbing Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway), who is set to wear a necklace at the Ball worth over 100 million dollars. The film looks thrilling, touching, and, well, everything.

The movie is a reboot of sorts of the Ocean's 11 trilogy that began in 2001 (which itself was a remake of 1960's Ocean's 11). And the woman-centric cast is not only putting a new spin on the film, but it's also part of the reason why so many fans on Twitter were excited to see the cast in action when the trailer was finally released. Because, really, who doesn't want to see a kickass group of women who work together to get stuff done?

Here are some of the best reactions to the Ocean's 8 trailer.

The Last Jedi Who?

Andrew Gruttadaro, an editor at The Ringer, said that the release of the Ocean's 8 trailer could make "dudes stop complaining" about the latest Star Wars film.

A Dream

One user is already calling Ocean's 8 one of the best parts about 2018 because of its cast. They even called it "a dream", which is pretty much on point.

SO Excited

This fan is already so excited to see Ocean's 8 because they "love seeing powerful women" (aka everyone in the movie) in films.

Try Again Haters

One user doesn't care at all about the men complaining about Ocean's 8. They used this perfect screenshot series of Bullock's Debbie Ocean sipping on a martini to highlight just how little they care about their complaints.

What More Could Fans Want?

This fan said it all when they highlighted the fact that Ocean's 8 is a female led movie (starring Rihanna) and asked people "what more could you want?".

They're Ready

The women of Ocean's 8 definitely rule, just by the trailer alone. This fan is so ready for women to not only rule this film, but the entire world. Preach!

Take All The Money

This fan is totally "screaming" about all of these amazing women being in the same film together, as their hilarious gif from The Good Place illustrates. Too relatable.

"What's Not To Like"?

Another fan said, #WhatsNotToLike, which probably sums up what a lot of other fans were thinking when they saw the trailer.

Cast Goals

This user's gif of Andy from Parks and Recreation says a lot about how fans felt about the Ocean's 8 trailer (which is to say, they loved it).

Simply Amazing

This fan incorporated a photo of Beyoncé, a Queen of female empowerment, in order to show just how thrilled they were about the Ocean's 8 trailer. Yep, same.

It's definitely safe to say that many were pleased to see the Ocean's 8 trailer highlight all of the fantastic women who make up its cast. The whole trailer was basically goals, on every level. June 8, 2018, the film's release date, can't come soon enough.
