The ‘Jersey Shore’ Crew May Still Be GTL-ing... But The Outcome Is Totally Upgraded Now

Jersey Shore has been off the air for five years, but thankfully the show's greatest legacy, GTL, is still going strong to this day. On E!'s Reunion Road Trip Sunday night, alums Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, and Pauly "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio reunited at Seaside's Jenkinson's Pavilion to reminisce about the good times — but not without some major GTL first. Fans should rest easy knowing the tradition holds strong among the Jersey Shore crew, it's just a little bit upgraded these days.

While getting fans up to speed on their adult lives, including significant others, businesses, and refraining from peeing on bars, the crew also let viewers in on their current techniques for becoming peak fresh. The Situation gave fans the lowdown while getting a haircut at the barbershop, and Snooki chatted while getting primped with a simultaneous manicure and pedicure (with her daughter on her lap).

As for Pauly D, he let fans in on his new and improved GTL (one he can thank that Jersey Shore paycheck for): the gym is in his home, tanning beds have been replaced with spray tans, and laundry gets sent out these days. That is officially the good life. GTL may have been upgraded, but it's still a religion to true Jersey Shore fans and remains the glue that holds the crew together.

"Everyone knows what GTL is," JWoww said. "If you don't, you're just an assh*le and you're lying." Who would argue with that? Mid-road trip, Snooki had The Situation pull over — no, not to pee — but to write "Honk if you GTL" on the back of the car. And honks they received. Clearly, the world (or at least Jersey) is still hip to what the acronym embodies. “Do you GTL?" Pauly asked a stranger on the boardwalk. "You do, huh? You have a nice tan.”

When the crew isn't GTLing, they have new ways of feeling good: Botox and maybe some implants, too. "Everyone had their boobs done here including me," Sammi shamelessly said. Snooki openly asked the table who's gotten Botox, and she and The Situation both raised their hands, while JWoww replied, "I need to." These guys have never been shy about looking and feeling their best selves and fans should definitely not expect them to be now.

The Jersey Shore cast is all grown up, but it's definitely made up of the same crazy kids fans know and fell in love with back in 2009. They threw in some "Cabs are here" and "T-shirt time" references along with the beloved GTL, and it felt like they've been with us all along.
