Torrid's New Insider Collection Focuses On Fashion-Forward Plus Size Style
Anticipating the forthcoming spring when we can finally ditch the layers and embrace the sun, Torrid has launched its brand new Insider collection — a luxury line that focuses on being as fashion forward as possible. Featuring lace detailing and embroidery alongside tassels and lace up tops, the line hits all the trends set to invade our wardrobes in the upcoming months.
With the newest Torrid ambassador and winner of Torrid's model search Maria Gimena fronting the campaign, the entire collection feels fresh and exciting. The clothing ranges from $16.90 to $98.90, and as a capsule collection, the line features 20 key pieces that can be mixed and matched for the ultimate spring wardrobe.
Featuring plenty of lace and tassels, Torrid's Insider collection is seeking out the major trends for 2017 and providing them in original styles that will look good on any plus size body. It's a limited edition line, so if you want to prepare your wardrobe for spring with these key pieces — from lace up bodysuits to embroidered flares — you should act fast now to ensure you have them in your arsenal.
Speaking to Bustle via email, Torrid designer Danielle Williams comments, “Our inspiration was a combination of boho and rock & roll. To tell this story we’ve injected beautiful laces to add texture, unique embroideries designed by our in-house art team and sexy silhouettes that are sure to make you feel like a bohemian rockstar! Big ideas for this collection include fringe & tassels, medallion prints, ornate embroidery and lace piecing. The color palette and prints are moody yet romantic. We wanted to play with some new silhouettes including the longline collarless jacket and the cropped open knit fringe sweater. As we do with our mainline collections, we continue to implement impeccable fit and offer a variety of silhouettes that will fit the variety of body types we service here at Torrid."
And as Torrid promises on their website, this collection (as with all their lines) runs from sizes 10 to 30. (Apart from their jewelry and shoes, of course.) Covering all bases, the capsule collection isn't just garments but includes a super cute floral choker as well as three styles of shoe for any occasion. A pair of black espadrilles, a faux suede sneaker and cut out, heeled booties.
Currently available online and in store, it should be noted that the Torrid website offers great discounts when buying more than one item. If you're looking to stock up your spring wardrobe in one place, deals like "buy two, get one free" are a great reason to invest in the Insider collection. You can shop the collection now.
