The Bachelor has been on television for so long that at this point, you need a gimmick or some other way to stand out from the 30 other contestants that flank you at the rose ceremonies. Nick Viall’s season is no different, but one of the women on his season of The Bachelor, Liz Sandoz, really stands out because she knew Nick before the show. And by knew, I mean she knows Nick biblically, because they slept together after Jade and Tanner’s wedding (Liz was the maid of honor). Though she's still on the show as of publication, Nick seemed confused by her reappearance, so I'm already wondering what Liz is doing after The Bachelor, because I don't think she'll be getting the final rose.
Liz’s story line so far is that she and Nick met at the wedding, slept together, and then basically never spoke to each other again. When Liz got out of that limo, Nick gave her a look like, “Huh?” and it was all downhill from there. Later, Nick questioned Liz's motives for being on the show, since she wouldn't give him her number after they hooked up, and didn't try to get in contact with him prior to The Bachelor. However, Jade believes that Liz has good intentions and told Entertainment Tonight, "She really did have an interest in Nick and she went there to see if there was anything and I totally support her." Jade also claims that she and Liz once invited Nick to a charity event but he couldn't make it.
I had a feeling that Liz's arc would go this way. It's not hard to see why Nick would be skeptical of a woman from his past showing up because she wants to “get to know him” better on national television. I just hope that once things settle and they talk, that's not how she'll be perceived all season by viewers or the other women in the house. Outside of The Bachelor, Liz is a traveler and a doula, which means she helps bring life into this world, so there's more to her than what we've seen so far. Here's what she’s been up to since The Bachelor wrapped that gives a bit more insight to her life.
She’s Working On Her Blog
Liz runs her own website, A Romanced Life, and it includes inspirational quotes and information on life coaching (she does that, too). If you want Liz to be your life purpose coach, where she helps you to figure out what you really want to do in life, the website’s the place to go to start. I love an entrepreneur.
She’s Traveling
Liz certainly hasn’t let any moss grow under her feet since The Bachelor wrapped. Her social media shows her making stops in Haiti, New York City, the Grand Canyon, and beyond, and let me tell ya — it doesn’t look like a bad way to live.
She’s Volunteering
According to her Instagram, Liz and a few pals are helping to raise money for an orphanage in Thailand via Project Future Light. According to the website, the aim is to “help bring clean water, shelter, and sustainability” to these children.
It seems to me that The Bachelor is so far from Liz’s mind. I don’t know how far she'll get on the show, but it’s nice that she went back to her normal life and trying to help others after filming ended.
