What's In The Too Faced Life's A Festival Collection? It's All About Unicorns
The unicorn beauty trend has dominated 2017, from hair dyes to makeup brushes to beauty products. Despite what you may think, the single-horned creature is not going out of style anytime soon — and Too Faced knows it. The brand just announced the release of their Life's a Festival Collection, and it's all about unicorns. And the fantastically-inspired range caters to an additional trend – it arrives during festival season. There's no better time to experiment with your look and to try the uni-trend than at a multi-day music fest.
In recent years, fashion brands have created entire apparel collections to serve festival-goers at spring and summer music weekends, like Coachella, Bonnaroo, and beyond. This range is the cosmetics counterpart. The new Life's a Festival x unicorn collection will boast 15 products, which arrive on the Too Faced site on Feb. 15.
Country singer and former The Voice contestant RaeLynn will serve as the face of the Life's a Festival line, further deepening the connection between the products and music. Brand co-founder and creative guru Jerrod Blandino told Cosmo that he recruited RaeLynn to rep the line because she is "dynamic, beautiful, talented, and the epitome of the Too Faced girl."
Here's a rundown of some of the products that comprise the collection, which is limited edition save for the lipsticks, the bronzer, and the lip toppers.
1. Life's A Festival Eyeshadow Palette
2. Unicorn Tears Iridescent Mystical Bronzer
Of course there is a palette in the line — and this one is infused with rose quartz. It hosts 12 eyeshadows and a bonus highlighter, the shade of which was specifically inspired by Unicorn Tears lippies.
OMG, how gorgeous! This bronzer features a unicorn stamped onto the product itself. It's almost too pretty to sweep a brush over and to use. Almost.
3. Festival Refresh Mist
This spritz is an essential for your backpack or fringed crossbody. It is infused with rose quartz powder (for "love energy," says the brand) and with opalescent pearls. It illuminates, refreshes, and cools skin. Even if you rock a minimalist makeup look at a festival, you can whip this out for a little boost.
4. La Crème Mystical Effects Lipsticks
Color-changing lipsticks are also included in this magical collection. The creamy formula changes with your unique body chemistry because #SCIENCE. Three new shades join the classic Unicorn Tears lippie, and they all feature the sweet sugar unicorn scent. Mmm!
5. Magic Crystal Transforming Lip Gloss
These glosses are holographic and prismatic — also major lip trends. They can be worn a la carte, or over a lipstick as a "topper" to add different depth and dimension.
6. Unicorn Horn Mystical Effects Highlighting Sticks
These cream sticks are shaped like — you guessed it — unicorn horns and offer a pearlescent effect.
7. Magic Rainbow Strobing Brush
The rainbow-haired tool is perfectly mated with the bronzer or the collection's swirlable and multi-shade Rainbow Strobe Highlighter, which is $30.
Cosmo also notes that the products smell detectible, which is to be expected from Too Faced. The brand's Chocolate Bar palettes smell like — wait for it — cocoa, while the Peach Palette's aroma is as sweet as as peach patch. Whatever the unicorn olfactory essence is, you can bet that Blandino & Co. effectively captured it with this collection.
While this range was specifically designed for festival season, beautyistas can certainly wear these products during any occasion they wish. Unleash your inner unicorn.
