It's 2018, and you can finally have your fries and nachos too. At least, Taco Bell says that you can. The union between fast food fries and nachos is about to take place to satiate your late night cravings in the most blissful way possible. So when you can't decide between the two sides, don't. Taco Bell Nacho Fries will be available soon, and from the sounds of it, they'll make crucial decisions much simpler to make.

When a waiter asks if I'd like a side salad or french fries with my sandwich, it's an easy, almost robotic rebuttal. Fries, everytime. Fries. Not that I have anything against salads, but when fried spears of potatoes are an option, salad greens can cool it in the produce drawer. There are the classic ways to dress your fries. Ketchup always works. A heap of chili isn't terrible on a cold day. Even mayo works! But Taco Bell has now threatened ketchup's dominant place as the ultimate condiment with the ultimate way to dress fries. And what could be better than a classic condiment? Fusing fries with the essence of nachos. I am here for smothering fried potatoes in all that is glorious about the chips from seasoning to toppings to the essential cheese draping. And soon we'll all be graced by Taco Bell's take on nacho fries.

If Doritos Locos Tacos are your go to guilty pleasure dinner on a Friday night, this is the perfect side order for you. You can trust the people who brought you the Naked Chicken Chalupa and Crunchwrap Supreme. These nacho fries are bound to be double-dip worthy. As in, you might want to pick up two at the drive thru to double up on the cheesey dipping sauce. A spokesperson from Taco Bell describes the nacho fries to us as, "crisped to perfection with bold Mexican seasoning and served with a dippable side of warm Nacho Cheese." And they can be your late night snack for a limited time as soon as January 25th.

The addition of fries to Taco Bell's menu has been speculated since testing began in Spring 2017. And now the rumors are officially true so alert your group chat and plan for an outing on Thursday, January 25th. It is about time to welcome nacho fries into your life. And if you thought this existence of nacho fries was the only good news, your — or your wallet, rather — are in for even more of a treat.

The fries, a la carte, will cost you $1. So cherish your change. All the quarters in the sofa can add up to multiple helpings of ~nacho fries~. And if you have a few more quarters saved up, our friends at Taco Bell tell us, "The fries will also be served Supreme for $2.49 or Bell Grande for $3.49, topped with beloved Taco Bell add-ons, including beef, Pico de Gallo, nacho cheese and sour cream. Bonus features will include a $5 box with fries, a Doritos® Locos Taco, a Cheesy Gordita Crunch and Medium Drink." Surround your nacho fries with the best that Taco Bell has to offer for a truly ~mas~ experience.

If you're having trouble deciding what it is that you're craving as a late night snack, your best bet is to probably make your way to your nearest Taco Bell. Their fusion of flavors and textures and now sides never fails to satisfy a nagging craving. And if the lovely employees at Taco Bell finally get to ask, "do you want fries with that," the answer will be a resounding, quick yes. Always yes. Especially if they're nacho fries.
