Everything You Need To Know About Kat Von D’s Completely Reformulated New Lipsticks

Kat Von D-evotees, get ready to shake, cry, and pucker. The revamped Kat Von D Beauty Studded Kisses Creme lipsticks are on their way. Recently, the brand teased a new formula that would be housed in the signature, familiar, and cool AF component (aka the packaging), revealed a new white lippie, and offered a deep discount on the previous collection. Now, KDVB has shared all of the shades and confirmed the launch dates for the new generation of Studded Kisses.

Over the course of nine Instagram posts on the KVD Beauty feed, loads of details were revealed. The brand shared images of the bullets, the cases, and swirly swatches. The texture and the hues look so delish, while the KVD logo is stamped into the side of the bullet for an additional artisanal touch.

There are 40 shades, ranging from reds to purples to blues to pinks to neutrals and, of course, White Out, which made its social media debut a few weeks ago and was inspired by the brand's own Lock-it Concealer Creme. The KVD crew suggests using this secret weapon shade as a base to amplify colors layered over top or to create the ever-trendy ombre lip.

Here's all the stuff you need to write down, stat. The Studded Kiss lippies will arrive via the brand’s site on Jan. 12. They will cruise onto the Sephora site on Jan. 19. They will land on Sephora shelves in actual stores on Jan. 26. The staggered launch allows for lots of opps to shop.

Studded Kiss V. 2018 offers a weightless, long-wearing, rich, creamy, smooth, and saturated formula. So, yeah, it's pretty much everything you've ever wanted in a lipstick tube. As always, these lippies will be cruelty-free and vegan, since the brand's fearless leader Kat Von D is fully committed to the cause.

There are three finishes — satin-matte, glimmer, and metallic. That, coupled with over three dozen color choices, means there is something for everyone.

Oh, and while we have you here, there's something else you need to know. The brand confirmed that some of the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick shades will be available in the Studded Kiss Creme formula! The Everlastings are KVDB's mega mattes, with major pigmentation and a rich, velvety formula. It's one of the brand's hero products and it was only a matter of time before some of the faves were translated into a lipstick bullet format. The team did not share which hues are being turned into Studded Kiss Cremes. We'll just have to wait. Or perhaps build some educated guesses from the teaser clip.

Fans are already clamoring for more info on which shades are coming back and which Everlastings will get their "Stud" on. You can feel the excitement radiating from this sample of Insta comments, with one user noting that Studded Kiss lippies were already perfect. Well, it appears the best just got better, baby!
