One Direction fans, you ready for this news? On Facebook Thursday, Liam Payne announced he is working on new music. Before you let your emotions get the best of you, let's get down to business and start asking the important questions. For instance, When is Liam Payne's music coming out? Unfortunately, during his Facebook live chat, the 23-year-old singer didn't give away too many details, and including no release date, but the fact that he announced new music is on its way should be satisfying enough.
"This is the studio I've been working in today," he said at the beginning of the video. "I've been writing a song that's been a lot of fun. I'm hoping you're gonna like the music, it's a little bit different, but it's really nice." After saying hi to the fans and thanking everyone for their support recently, Payne further discussed his music and added, "Yeah, it's been really fun making all the music. I really hope you guys are going to enjoy it. I think you are, and it's stuff that I appreciate, so hopefully you will."
Even though he didn't give specifics, like when fans can expect a new track, he did tease, "The music is coming, so get ready." So, he's currently writing and recording, which is a great sign. The music will be here before you know, so start preparing.
In October 2016, after 1D decided to go their separate ways to work on their solo careers, it was announced that Payne signed with Republic Records in the states. In July 2016, it was also announced that Payne signed with Capitol Records UK. According to Billboard, Republic Records said that Payne will release his new music "through an alliance" with Capitol UK.
He has yet to release any solo music, but clearly Payne is hard at work in the studio. Around the time he signed with the labels, the former 1D member took to Twitter to express his excitement over his solo career and said, "One Direction will always be my home and family but I'm very excited to see what this chapter brings."
Well, it certainly seems to be bringing exactly what Payne wanted in the shape of new music for himself and his fans.
