Over the weekend, a post popped up on the brand new Fenty Beauty Cosmetics Instagram. It's not a verified account as of press time. But most beauty obsessives are already well aware that Rihanna is indeed working on beauty line. It seems one step closer to reality, thanks to the aforementioned post... provided it's legit. This Insta account teased the first Fenty Beauty product — a holographic lipstick, noting that it would be coming in the fall. Where will Fenty Beauty be sold?
UPDATE: Bustle heard back from Fenty Beauty PR, who wrote: "Fenty Beauty has officially partnered with James Vincent, who is leading the charge on their search for a Global Makeup Artist for Fenty Beauty. This is the only official information posted from the brand since the announcement of the launch in Spring of 2016. Any other post and/or chatter are from fan pages that are enthusiastically awaiting the launch and are unofficial and conjecture about the launch. We are just as excited as the fans and promise the launch will be worth the wait. Stay tuned for Fall 2017."
According to the caption of this post, the Fenty Beauty holographic lipstick will be sold at Sephora. That means that Fenty Beauty will be widely available.
Here's why it's no surprise that Fenty Beauty by Rihanna will be available at Sephora.
The Fenty Beauty Cosmetics Insta account shared a post about the brand's search for a makeup artist, as well. It mirrored a posting by Eric Soto, who handles Global Artistry and Education for Kendo-produced brands, which includes Kat Von D Beauty, Marc Jacobs Beauty, BITE Beauty, and of course Fenty Beauty by Rihanna. Since KVD, MJ, and BITE are all sold at Sephora, it's obvious why Fenty Beauty will also line Sephora shelves.
Bustle reached out to Sephora PR reps via email to further inquire about the Fenty Beauty launch.
Check out the super soft, cotton candy pink lipstick. Glamour also reports that this image of the model with the pink lips and matching pink hood is from the Rihanna x Fenty Puma 2017 spring show.
I am all about the bold brows and lashes in this pic, which are balanced by the soft pucker shade. If this is indeed the first Rihanna lippie, I can't fully appreciate the holographic nature of the texture from this pic. Just sayin'.
This was the first post to appear on the Fenty Beauty Cosmetics Insta feed.
RiRi's personal Insta page has been quiet since the Grammys. She hasn't mentioned anything about Fenty Beauty on her feed yet.
Whatever the case, this is pretty exciting.
