Fitz's Fate Is Unknown On 'Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

Watching Fitz come to terms with what "Doctor Leopold" did in the Framework was never going to be easy. However, his heartbreaking realization that he may not be a good person takes an unexpected turn in the May 2 episode. Where did Aida take Fitz on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Moments after being forced out of the Framework, he is swept away a second time.

Oh, also, Aida 3D-prints herself a full time body, so Ophelia lives now. I actually did not realize that the machine was in the real world, but now that makes sense. Just as everyone else jumps into the portal, construction is complete on the new fleshy, Ophelia. She's the one who kidnaps Fitz, after seemingly failing to seduce him back to her side. Personally, I feel like if you give your new body super teleportation powers, that's cheating. At least learn how to be a mortal human without supernatural abilities first. In order to avoid getting shot by May and Coulson, and maybe also in order to buy some time to get Fitz back on her side, Ophelia wraps her arms around him and poof! They were gone. Where did they go?

I'm assuming that they go back to the Framework — the question is, will Fitz still have his memories? Either that or they just leave the building. Madame Hydra has status and power in the Framework, but she seems to think she is destined for a different, if not higher purpose. Other than playing at Fascism, I'm not sure what else they could accomplish from within the Framework.

This also means that we're probably going to have to wait a while before Fitz and Simmons see one another again. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think that's a good thing for now. The aftermath of the Framework reality is traumatic for both of them in so many ways. They need time. While the team yet again needs to save Fitz on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Framework is clearly going to linger on this team for quite a while to come, possibly most so for our favorite scientist duo.
