Beyoncé's Twins Photo Was Taken In A Floral Location
Fans have been highly anticipating this moment for about a month, so when, on Friday morning, Beyoncé shared the first picture of her twins, Sir Carter and Rumi, it was well worth the wait. And where Beyoncé's twins photo was taken seems to be an apt location for a picture this majestic. Though it hasn’t been officially confirmed, it seems logical to assume that the breathtaking portrait was likely taken at La Villa Contenta, the luxurious Malibu mansion that Beyoncé and JAY-Z are reportedly renting. And that would definitely explain some of the decadence in this picture.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the lavish 6.3 acre compound has been Beyoncé and JAY-Z's home with the newborn twins and Blue Ivy, giving the family plenty of space and privacy with which to bond together. Boasting 10 bedrooms, a tennis court, landscaped desert area, pool house, and a rose garden featuring more than 1,000 rose bushes (some of which may well be featured in the picture), the property is the perfect fit for such cultural royalty as the Knowles-Carter family. The swimming area even features 20 foot glass ceilings, a hand-painted mural, onyx fireplace, and shell-encrusted chandeliers. Because Beyoncé and her brood deserve only the finest opulence, and this is about as opulent as it gets.
TV fans may already be familiar with the property, as La Villa Contenta was used to great effect as the location for Queen Sophie's mansion in True Blood. The True Blood scenes shot at La Villa Contenta, which mostly took place within the swimming pool area, stood out for their exuberant details and helped to add a sense of historic extravagance to Sophie's character. According to a 2010 Huffington Post article regarding the property, Beyoncé and JAY-Z's rented mansion has also featured in movies such as Funny People and I Love You, Man.
So, clearly, La Villa Contenta is Hollywood royalty in and of itself, making it even more of a perfect pairing for the family.
Beyoncé's stunning celebration of her newborn twins is also her first Instagram post since giving birth. While both herself and JAY-Z have maintained a low profile since the birth of the twins, including not providing an official announcement regarding their arrival, Beyoncé's father Matthew Knowles congratulated the couple on Twitter. Whether accidental or otherwise, many fans and media outlets took his post as an unofficial announcement that the twins had been born.
Now though, with the release of this gorgeous portrait, fans can officially join in on Beyoncé and JAY-Z's jubilant celebrations. Sir Carter and Rumi are officially in the world, and both them and their mother are looking absolutely glowing.
