While many of the 2017 VMAs fashions were an unpredictable blend of funky, glamsual, and featured a lot of pants, like Nicki Minaj in bubblegum pink latex, there were a few fancy gowns in the mix. Kesha wore a blush-colored, tiered, and ruffled gown that felt a bit deconstructed. Who designed Kesha's 2017 VMAs dress?

Actually, Kesha's princess-like frock was designed by Monsoori, according to Just Jared. The brand's namesake designer is Shaima Monsoori from Bahrain.

While it might seem like the singer's ensemble would have been better suited for a fancier ceremony, like the Grammys or the Oscars, where full-skirted, ball-like gowns are often the norm, it was refreshing to see Kesha get dressed to the nines.

Of course, the singer added a punk rock edge with her nose piercing and her messy, platinum locks, which were wavy, fell in a tumble around her face, and included a fishtail braid in the mix.

All in all, it was a very Kesha presentation.

If you were not acquainted with Monsoori prior to the Kesha dress, well, you can browse the brand's Instagram feed. If you like what you see and are totally enraptured by Kesha's dress, then you should throw Monsoori a follow.

The dress had lots of ruffles and layers. That's what made it so unique.
