Charlotte Owen

Charlotte Owen is the Editor in Chief of Bustle, where she acts as the creative and strategic lead to a team 60 writers and editors. Under her leadership the site has gone through a full 360 rebrand while publishing countless agenda-setting stories that have been picked up by outlets ranging from the New York Times to People magazine. She first joined Bustle in 2018, when she launched the UK site, which reached 5.2 million uniques in just six months. In 2019, Bustle UK received the Folio award for Best Brand Extension and in 2020, she was a finalist for a Digiday Future Leader Award. Charlotte started her career at Vanity Fair in 2011, where she remained for over six years, serving as a Managing Editor on the annual art issue and overseeing the British section of VF.com. Her writing has appeared in Vogue, i, Metro, and Country and Town House. Originally from Birmingham, England, Charlotte is a graduate of the University of Oxford, where she studied History and English Literature. She is based in New York.
