Charlotte Owen is the Editor in Chief of Bustle, where she acts as the creative and strategic lead to a team of 60 writers and editors. Under her leadership the site has gone through a full rebrand while publishing agenda-setting stories that have generated coverage in the New York Times, People, Entertainment Weekly, E!, Vanity Fair, Buzzfeed, and more.
Charlotte first joined Bustle in 2018 as an executive editor, where she oversaw the launch of the brand's UK site. In 2019, Bustle UK received the Folio award for Best Brand Extension and in 2020 she was a finalist for a Digiday Future Leader Award. Charlotte started her career at Vanity Fair where she remained for over six years, serving as a Managing Editor on the annual art issue and Digital Strategy Editor for the British section of VF.com. Her writing has appeared in Vogue, i, Metro, and Country and Town House.
Originally from Birmingham, England, Charlotte is a graduate of the University of Oxford, where she studied History and English Literature. She enjoys wine and good books, and is based in New York.
