There are so many beauty launches to get excited about this week, but Maybelline’s new, super affordable mascara, Sky High, will probably go to the top of your list. Not only does the mascara’s ‘flex tower’ brush bend to lengthen and add volume in every application, but the formula itself is infused with bamboo extract to ensure maximum nourishment. The best bit? It comes in at under £10 (just).

Elsewhere in makeup, you may be interested to know that beloved brand UOMA has now landed in Boots. Run, don’t walk, to pick up one of their gorgeous signature palettes in store or online.

In skincare, The Body Shop has launched a new line of body butters – and they are the brand’s most sustainable yet, with everything from the ingredients list to the eco-friendly tub promising to be kinder to the planet.

Skincare fans will also be excited to hear about a new brand called Whind, which is all about brightening and tightening, as well as Dr Dennis Gross’ new SPF, which is a modern take on physical, reef-safe formulas.

I think we can all agree that the beauty market is pretty saturated when it comes to mascara, but this new offering from Maybelline has definitely caught my attention. As mentioned, the ‘Flex Tower’ brush bends to lengthen and add volume to every lash root to tip, while the formula itself is powered by nourishing bamboo extract and lengthening fibres. What’s more, it claims to have a ‘washable formula’ meaning it’s easily removed and, thus, suitable for sensitive eyes.

The Body Shop’s new butters may come with a slightly more expensive price tag but they’re totally worth it when you consider they are the brand’s most sustainable body offering yet. Made from 96% natural origin ingredients, the butter comes in recyclable packaging made with an aluminium lid and 100% recycled plastic tub, including Community Fair Trade recycled plastic from India. And that’s before you get to the product inside, which is super nourishing, smells amazing, and comes in plenty of different flavours.

A good SPF is worth spending that extra cash on, as it’s so important to protect skin from damaging UV rays. Dr Dennis Gross’ new offering may not be super cheap, but it has an impressive list of features that’ll totally justify its price tag. Firstly, it’s a physical sunscreen (as opposed to a chemical one, which means it is reef-safe) that promises not to leave any white residue behind on all skin tones. Plus, it’s lightweight, non-greasy, is packed full of antioxidants, and also protects skin from the blue light emitted from our phones and laptops.

Usually only on sale in their respective cities, each candle will be going global this year. I’ve got my eyes on the Tokyo candle, which features notes of Cypress and Incense.

I absolutely adore makeup artist Gucci Westman, so anything she launches for her brand Westman Atelier is instantly at the top of my wish list. Her products may not be the most affordable, but the clean formulas and absolutely stunning packaging sort of make up for the heftier price tags. The Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balms are newest to the range, and while the texture is super silky and non-sticky, the shades are so glorious. My favourite is the neutral ‘Nana,’ pictured here.

Marrakech Light Illuminating Magic Oil

New skincare brand Whind has launched with just two products and this gorgeous oil has immediately caught my eye. It features a unique blend of the brand’s nine magic sun oils: Argan, Desert Date, Olive, Jojoba, Sweet Almond, Apricot, Prickly Pear, Meadowfoam and Crambe Abyssinica. As well as its impressive ingredients list, it also promises to be suitable for all skin types (including those that are already oily) thanks to its lightweight texture.
