This Is What Will Be Trending In 2016

by Augusta Statz

Fashion moves quickly, and just in case you’re already on to the next, the latest trend forecasts for 2016 are in! That’s right, folks, so go ahead and throw out all of the clothes you bought this year and make room for more in your closet. Just kidding, I only wish I could do that. But, I’m too much of an outfit recycler, TBH.

Based on these predictions, though, I will be making a little room in my closet for the next It items. Yasmin Sewell, a trend forecasting consultant, told Who What Wear, “I think things are going to be a little bit more extravagant, people are going to want things more embellished, more embroidered, with more craftsmanship and texture," she said. "But at the same time, I think people will be wanting to go back to basics in the best way: clean lines and denim with more exaggerated shapes; things will be really oversized and feel much more modern.” Modern extravagance? I like the sound of that!

If you like to be ahead of the curve with this type of thing, there are a few soon-to-be-the-latest items you can shop now. Scoop up these pieces and more to maintain your trendsetter status!
