Back From The Dead For The Holidays?!

by Anna Klassen

Fans of Family Guy were outraged after the November 24 episode which featured the family's long time companion and pet, Brian, passing away. But it seems the show has been listening to the laments of angry fans everywhere, and are bringing Brian back for a December 15 episode. And then it appears he might be around for a while, as his character is slated to become enamored with a human (we think) jogger (voiced by Maya Rudolph) later in the season.

In the lamest death since Cousin Matthew getting run over by a milk truck on Downton Abbey, producers killed off Brian (voiced by creator Seth MacFarlane) by having him get hit by a car. I repeat: laaaame. “We thought it could be a fun way to shake things up,” executive producer Steve Callaghan said of the decision to kill Brian. “As soon as this idea came up, we started talking about what the next couple episodes could be and we got very excited about the way this change will affect the family dynamics and the characters.”

I'm sorry, did he just say "fun" in relation to a character death, and a dog death at that?! *Sigh*. Tune in December 15 to see Brian reunited with the family.
