Was Brad Pitt At Jennifer Aniston's Wedding?

by Michelle McGahan

It's inevitable. With the all-but-officially-confirmed rumors that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux got married on Wednesday night (rejoicing emojis for days), Brad Pitt is most likely going to come up in conversation. Forever linked in the media's eye thanks to that early 2000s ~Golden Couple~ title and a certain someone named Angelina Jolie, the Jennifer Aniston-Brad Pitt marriage and subsequent divorce still continues to be on the forefront of many people's minds, even a solid decade later. The former couple may be on OK terms now — and Aniston and Theroux certainly rocked an all-star, A-list guest list at their reported nuptials — but inquiring minds need to know: Did Brad Pitt attend Jennifer Aniston's wedding?

Based on guest list info and photos obtained by TMZ, Brad Pitt (and/or Angelina Jolie) did not make an appearance at the Aniston-Theroux wedding, but does that really come as a surprise? In a word: no. But it's (probably) not because the exes have hard feelings towards each other or anything — in fact, Aniston has said pretty much the exact opposite — but more likely because it would just be weird AF and pretty much pointless to have your ex-husband at your wedding to someone new unless you two were like superhuman besties or something.

The actress revealed earlier this year that although she and Pitt have "exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other," they don't keep in touch that often. As she told CBS News, "It's not a constant thing." Read: Brad Pitt may have wished his ex all the best in her new marriage, but don't expect him to be in attendance at the wedding or anything. And the same went for Aniston when it came to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's wedding. She didn't attend, but she has had nothing but positive things to say about Jolie. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she called for people to stop with "that petty B.S" and also praised Jolie for her directorial effort on the movie Unbroken.

At the end of the day though, it doesn't even matter who was — or wasn't! — on the approximately 70-person guest list (even though it was seriously impressive and included everyone from Ellen DeGeneres to Howard Stern to Lisa Kudrow to Chelsea Handler to Sia). The most important thing is that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux had the wedding that they wanted and celebrated their love and life together in the most amazing of ways. Congratulations to the happy couple (and one of my all-time fave ships)!
