What Is Erika Jayne's Connection To 'RHOBH'?

by Marenah Dobin

There has been quite a bit of drama with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills these days and the show isn't even on the air right now. RHOBH's most controversial star Brandi Glanville has been axed from the series, and Kim Richards is also off show and has gone through quite a bit with her sobriety and legal issues in a pretty public manner. Needless to say, the show is in need of some new cast members. It has not been officially confirmed, but it has been reported that Erika Jayne is the newest cast member on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She has been photographed hanging with Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson, and Lisa Vanderpump has even made comments to the press about how much she likes Erika. But I still have no idea how she fits into the mix.

Erika is a club singer who loves to get wild and have a good time, so I don't exactly see her sitting down at one of those infamous dinner parties or game nights that the Real Housewives love to have. While it's still unclear whether she'll be a full-time Housewife or a Friend of the Housewives, I've gotta wonder how this woman who seems to be such a wildcard is connected to the show.

At first glance, I was thrown off when Erika was said to be the newest cast member. I think she will be exciting to watch, but I just didn't get what her life had to do with the other ladies'. Then I found out that she and her husband actually know Yolanda and David Foster. Erika is married to lawyer Thomas Girardi who is good friends with David.

Plus, I'm sure that with Erika being a singer herself it makes sense for her to have some sort of connection to David, a Grammy award winning music producer. And everyone loves Yolanda, so I'm not shocked that Erika would get along with her through their husbands' friendship.

According to InTouch, the newest Beverly Hills Housewife is being introduced on the show as "a friend of Yolanda Foster's" and supposedly she already filmed her first segment for the show.

Yolanda is said to be taking a smaller role on the show as "a friend of the Housewives" to focus on her battle with Lyme disease, so it will be interesting to see how Erika Jayne integrates with the rest of the group since her buddy will not be around as much. Guess we'll just have to wait and see when Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' sixth season premieres.
