Summer is almost over, so we may as well send it out with a bang — and luckily, I've found just the thing: A fabulous deal in which scoops of ice cream will be just $1.31 at Baskin-Robbins on Monday, Aug. 31. The promo comes as part of Baskin-Robbins' ongoing 70th Birthday celebration, with different variations on the Celebrate 31 promotion coming into play on the 31st day of each month through the end of 2015. What better way is there to bid farewell to the warmer months than with a delicious and refreshing deal like this one? Answer: There isn't. Not by a long shot

“We're excited to continue our 70th Birthday celebration with our guests by inviting them to enjoy $1.31 ice cream scoops on Aug. 31,” said Baskin-Robbins Vice President of Marketing Carol Austin in a press release. “At Baskin-Robbins we're known for our extensive selection of innovative, premium ice cream flavors. We hope our guests enjoy this sweet deal and use it as an opportunity to indulge in one of their favorite Baskin-Robbins flavors, or as a chance to try something new.” The offer is good on every scoop size, although you'll have to make sure your location is participating; additionally, waffle cones and toppings are extra, and the deal can't be combined with any other offers. Just, y'know, something to bear in mind.

Speaking of flavors, though, the deal is good for pretty much any flavor on the menu, from the 31 classics (Mint Chocolate Chip is definitely bae) to the seasonal ones available at participating locations this summer. One those seasonal flavors happens to be something called OREO 'n Cake, and you guys? That might just be my pick this time 'round. Described as “cake-flavored ice cream” with OREO pieces and “a chocolate-cake-batter flavored ribbon,” it certainly sounds like an experience — even though admittedly I'm not sure what “cake-flavored ice cream” actually is. What makes it different from regular vanilla? I guess I'll just have to get it and find out for myself.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a sundae full of $1.31 scoops to dream up. Anyone else craving some hot fudge?
