If you're a porn lover, you want it when you want it, and probably don't pay much attention to when the mood strikes. But if you happen to be interested in when people buy porn, adult entertainment retailer Adult Empire has collected enough data to reveal which days of the week require the most one-handed action.
Because porn is either the ideal distraction from a stressful day, or a good way to live it up when you're relaxing, it's pretty hard to guess when people download and stream their dirty movies. Not surprisingly, the very day named after pornography's main event came out on top in their survey — that's right, Hump Day, I mean, Wednesday, is the time when most folks hit their digital spot for smut.
In contrast, other adult sites have offered different stats for people's porn proclivities: in 2014 PornHub said their most popular day was Monday and least popular day was Friday — but maybe in the past year everyone has migrated to mid-week watching? Whatever the case may be, it's fascinating to find out the days that drive us to seek refuge in watching strangers having sex. Here are the full statistics from Adult Empire's sexual sleuthing:
1. Wednesday Wins
Hump Day accounts for 20.52 percent of weekly revenue at Adult Empire, and is the reigning day to indulge in pornographic pleasures.
2. Sunday Is Not Fun Day
Coming in at a paltry 6.58 percent of weekly traffic, Sunday is definitely not fun day. In a press release, Director of Marketing, Megan Wozniak said, "We don't know if our customers are taking the day of rest literally or if they're spending more time in church, but without a doubt, we here at AdultEmpire.com get the least action on Sunday."
3. Saturday Almost Comes Out On Top
Saturday came in at 19.91 percent of weekly traffic, almost making it to the top of the list, but falling short of Wednesday's towering stats.
