Is Miley Cyrus Going On Tour? She Does Have A New Album To Promote, After All
The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards were literally the craziest award show that ever happened. OK, maybe that's too grand of a statement to make, but SO. MUCH. HAPPENED. VMAs host Miley Cyrus got in an onstage argument with Nicki Minaj. Miley Cyrus had a nip slip. And at the very end of the show, Miley Cyrus announced a surprise album release. Seeing a theme here? Cyrus had a huge night for a few different reasons, but the announcement of Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, her fifth studio album, was definitely a major moment. And it might have some fans wondering whether Miley Cyrus is going on tour. She has to promote her new music, right?
Well, not so fast. Cyrus has proven in numerous ways that she is anything but conventional. Her album is available online, for free, and was a surprise; she's clearly not following typical musician protocol. In addition to that, Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz features 23 freakin' songs, so it's not your classic 12-track release. If the 22-year-old decided that instead of touring she would perform as a hologram at house parties around the world and only be paid in weed, I'd be like, "Yeah. That sounds about right."
That said, Cyrus seems to love touring. She really went wild during her Bangerz tour in 2014 and showed off tons of crazy sets and even crazier outfits. The girl loves expressing herself, and touring gives her a chance to do so even more.
There are currently no tour dates, other than the VMAs, listed on Cyrus' official site, and she hasn't announced a tour on social media. The last time she toured was from February to October 2014, so if Cyrus does tour, there's a good chance it'll be a long one.
If you're a fan, the album is probably enough exciting news for now, but keep your eyes out for some concert dates. I have a feeling Milez won't be able to resist the amount of glitter and leotards that come with going on tour.
